LIMA – CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Lima airport to board the flight to the imperial city of Cusco. Arrival and rest of the morning free to acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon, we will visit the imperial city of Cusco, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha). We will continue with the visit to Qenqo (Ceremonial and ritual Center where Inca sacrifices were made), Puca Pucara (old Tambo and Inca lookout post), Tambomachay (Ceremonial Center of Water Cult) and the Sacsayhuaman Fortress (place where the main Inca Festivals, Inti Raymi and Warachicuy).
Return to the hotel.

CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY

Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas through this route that starts in the town of Chincheros, where the community still conserves its traditional customs and shows us the ancestral way in which they process wool, and how they obtain colors from natural pigments of plants, fruits, flowers and insects that can be seen in bags, caps and other garments. Lunch included.
Then we visit the Fortress of Ollantaytambo, built to protect the entrance to this part of the valley, and protect it from a possible invasion of the tribes in the lower jungle. The fortress consists of a series of stepped stone terraces carved to which is accessed by long stairs. Later on, you can walk through the picturesque streets of the nearby city and have a good idea of how this Strategic Military, Religious and Agricultural Center was during the Inca Empire era.
Finally transfer to the hotel in Sacred Valley.

SACRED VALLEY

SACRED VALLEY – MACHU PICCHU

Transfer from the Valle hotel to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to the city of Aguas Calientes. Arrival and transfer to the hotel, check in. At an agreed time, the most fascinating trek begins to reach the Mandor waterfalls, located at the back of the Citadel, in a wonderful valley that harbors unique species of flora, wildlife and a beautiful waterfall on the way. This area is full of birds and orchids. The duration of the walk is 4 hours guided round trip.

MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

This day will be the highlight of our trip, the visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Departure from the hotel to board the buses and start the ascent to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. We will begin the visit with the mystic guide observing the great landscape that surrounds it. The tour will be 2.5 hours. The guided tour includes the well-known Intihuatana (Solar Clock), the Inca Palace, Las Tres Ventanas, etc. At the end of it will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch. At the scheduled time, transfer to the train station to return to Ollantaytambo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
